One year in 1 post!

It has been a year since my last post. Here are some of the highlights.....

I got a NEW job! I have been there 10 months now and I am a trainer on my floor. I love the people I work with and feel lucky to have this job to help our family.

We moved to paradise Valley and now live minutes from my work. This is such a blessing for me. I get home 40 minutes sooner in time to have dinner with Bryant and get to sleep in till 6 am instead of waking up at 5.

Our new little home is the perfect size for us and it has a DISHWASHER, which i have been wanting for 2 1/2 years! I put up a pic of the little fireplace which is one of my favorite features about it. Roxy loves the little backyard she gets to run around in without a leash.

We took a family vacation to Hawaii for 7 days and it was AMAZING. We did a whole lot of relaxing. We got to visit a lot of places I never went ... and some places i loved when i lived there for a short time. We went to the Hawaii temple (which was beautiful) and ate lots of fresh pineapple. Next on our dream travel list is Germany.

Bryant graduated with honors and on the deans list from MCC and started at ASU. (He is on the deans list at ASU as well!)
He is currently studying to take the DAT which he needs to apply for dental school next June.

Bryant is brilliant and I cant help but be his #1 fan! He has a stellar GPA and has gotten "A's" in all classes he needs for dental school. He has also been shadowing a dentist and volunteering as a mentor for a teenage boy in Mesa. He works so hard for our family. I am still waiting for my newly-wed butterflies to wear off.

We got some family pictures done last December I never really posted so Ill put some up now.

Some of the most exciting news is that our family is growing! We are pregnant with a little lady. Due November 27th. Bryant is loving watching my belly grow, and grow.

We love to hear that heart beat at each appointment. We could not feel more blessed. We really were not sure if we were going to be able to get pregnant. We prayed nightly for a blessing like this to come along. I feel her growing and kicking all the time. She is one active girl.

I am sure i am missing lots of exciting things that have happened but I figure this is a start!

Meet Roxy

For our aniversary Bryant got a 8 man tent and 2 sleeping bags. :)Well a few weeks ago we decided to take these camping supplies for a trial run! It endedup pouring buckets and there was a massive thunder storm. We stayed 1 of the 3 nights planed but had lots of fun telling scary stories and talking about life. Bryant is the one person in my world that can make being trapped in a tent for 24 hours straight so fun!

Bryants Family has an amazing family reunion every other year that honor past relatives and traditions. Many of the best memories from Bryants childhood happened at these reunions. They take place in the same beautiful spot , a peice of mountain land that was homesteaded by ancestors of Bryants many many years ago. Now on this land there are multiple cabins, a man made lake, basket ball courts, a chaple and much more! This place is sacred ground to thoes who grew up attending these reunions. So needless to say I was thrilled to attened my first reunion as the newest member married into the Farr family. It was so much fun to expierence a little piece of Bryants childhood and meet so many relatives! I look forward to many more reunions.

AND FINALLY >>>> MEET ROXY

Bryant and I are so excited to show off the newest addition to our little family! Roxy. We have been talking about getting a pet since the day we got married. I wanted a cat and Bryant wanted a puppy. So finally we saw Roxy and I thought she was so cute ..... so Bryant won and we got a puppy. After we got Roxy home, it only took a few hours to realize I got what I wanted too. Roxy acts very much like a kitten. :) She pounces and loves to play with strings among other cat like mannerisms. She is the perfect pet and we love her a lot.

1 happy year!

Bryant and I have been married for one happy year. We thought of a few ideas of how to celebrate and could not decide on just one of them so we ended up doing all of them! :)

1. Dinner at PF Chang's
2. Payson picnic
3. Visit my family in California
4. Go to the beach
5. Go to Disney land

Disneyland!!!!

We have been wanting to go to D-land for a while now. So earlier this year we signed up for a promotion with Disney that if you give a day of service you get one ticket to the happiest place on earth FREE!! So for our service I took pictures of pets at a shelter that needed to be adopted and Bryant donated supplies to a elementary school teacher. We used the free tickets we got to go to Disneyland in celebration of our 1 year together as man and wife.

Tarzan's Tree House

We had lots of fun and surprisingly the lines were not bad at all! Bryant got me to go on splash mountain which was a first for me. Although I have been on every other ride at Disneyland a number of times i have always avioded the 50 foot drop in to water on a not so sturdy plastic log; however, somehow Bryant convinced me to go. It was just as scary as I thought it would be but I felt brave for doing it. We both had lots of fun and can't wait to go again someday.
The Beach

Sand Castle: While in California we also went to Huntington. We had such a relaxing day there it was 80 degrees without a cloud in the sky. Bryant built me this castle! I loved it. I love how he took so much time "securing" the castle from waves and crabs. lol. I hope Bryant never loses his boyish imagination.

Picnic in Payson

On the actual day of our Anniversary we drove up to Payson for the day and had a picnic at this lake! It was so relaxing to take a step out of our busy busy lives to relax. We brought the picnic blanket my Grandma and Grandpa pope gave us for our wedding and it was fantastic! As we sat there reflecting on all our time together and mainly our first year of marriage we realized how blessed we have been. Th lord's hand has been in our marriage since the time we said "i do". Everything from the home we live in to my new job to Bryants success in school would not have been possible without Heavenly Father.

Bryant is such a wonderful husband. His goal in life is to make all my dreams come true. I am so lucky to have found him and I thank heavenly father everyday for sending this sweet man into my life. His kisses are sweet as sugar and his hugs make me feel safe. He opens doors for me, holds my hand, and daydreams with me about homes, babies, and retirement! He makes me laugh. He is so funny. No matter how sour my mood he can turn it around with his charm.
I think he is so handsome and I would be happy as a clam if all our babies look just like him. He makes me feel beautiful. He is so quick to tell me that he loves me.
Bryant is the best friend I've ever had.

PF Chang's
Bryant and I love Pei Wei which is the smaller... more casual version of PF Chang's. In fact we love it so much we stopped at pei wei for lunch between our wedding and the reception on our wedding day! So we thought it would be fun to class it up a bit and try PF Chang's. It was delicious and we had great company!

David and Michele Farr 9 years and counting!:
I hear so many scary stories about nightmare mother-in-law's and every time I do it makes me feel even more blessed that Bryant has such a wonderful family. Michele has been so sweet to me since the day we met. She works so hard for her family and is so kind and loving to her husband. She is a great example of a mother and wife. I love spending time with the Farr's they are always so much fun. David is such a great persona and would do ANYTHING for his children. He never complains and drops whatever he is doing at a moments notice to take care of his family. I am so grateful he raised my sweet husband to be the man he is today.
We had a wonderful celebration of the best year ever.

A heart nurse!

My 1st job as an RN!
I am so excited about my new job. After months and months of searching all over the valley I found the perfect job for me 3 blocks from my house! I plan to ride a bike to work but we will see how I feel about that after the weather heats up! I will be working in Telemetry (heart stuff)!

Thanks to all those who helped look for jobs for me! :)

Farr family fun

Bryant, Maddie, Kim and I participated in a 5K at a park in Tempe. It was lots of fun. Brandon cheered us all on from the side lines. Bryant was one of the first to finish and Kim, Maddie and I were some of the last. Haha.

This is the beginning of Flatiron. The most intense hike I have ever done! lol. It was lots of fun. Bennett and Gwynne were visiting AZ and came along. We LOVE when they come to visit its always a fun weekend.

These are the beautiful flowers Bryant brought home to me. I LOVE yellow roses! It was the perfect way to kick off spring to have these in our home.

This is the handsome husband who gave me the beautiful flowers. I feel so blessed to have such a thoughtful husband. He is always finding ways to make me fall in love with him all over again.

Other good news from the Farr home:
1) Bryant got 100% on his Trig project and is headed for A's in his current Chem and Biology classes. - He is so smart!
2) I cut 8 inches off my hair and am well on my way back to blonde.
3) Our stray adopted cat (Ginger) is prego! - Kittens anyone?
4) I started working as an RN! I work with a pediatric home health agency and am enjoying my sweet client.
School is almost out for Bryant and I anticipate a lot more time to have adventures to share as he is taking the summer OFF!!!! This will be the first time that neither Bryant or I is in school since we met. We are both so excited. Count down... 4 weeks.

Wind Caves

The top of the wind caves

The start of the trail

New Years day adventure at the Salt River - Sorry don't know how to make this vertical?

These are some pictures of the fun stuff we've been doing in the new year while Bryant was free from school. We had such a great time reading books, renting movies, and going on hikes while on winter break. We LOVE living in Arizona and being able to enjoy the winter without shoveling snow or having to scrape ice off our windshields.
Bryants back in school now with a full load of classes, and I am studying for my national nursing boards (NCLEX). I have a job, that I will be able to start once I pass the NCLEX, as a pediatric home health nurse.
Life is good and we feel blessed everyday to have so many people who love and care about us. Bryant is an amazing husband and make being "poor college students" a blast.

CHRISTmas Tree

Bryant and I LOVE this season. Christmas is such a special time where families make so many wonderful memories. We were so excited to start our own family traditions. So to kick it off we went and got a REAL Christmas tree. It was so fun choosing which tree would be perfect for our little house. We were on a budget but got a beautiful tree. We stayed up super late hanging ornaments and listening to Christmas music. (Like we both did as children with our families) Our home smells, looks, and feels like CHRISTMAS. We are so grateful for the birth and life of the Savior.
